Premise.  
Other Damn Good Stories is an assortment of stories that do not fall under any other project category.

Unclaimed remains.

On 19APR2018 the Washington State Veterans Cemetery hosted an interment ceremony for the unclaimed cremated remains of several veterans and their eligible family members.  The South East Washington Patriot Guard Riders maintained a flag line through out the ceremony.  Several Patriot Guard Riders along with many other veterans and active duty/guard service members in attendance volunteered for the honor of escorting these remains to their final resting place.  These heroes were laid to rest with well deserved full military honors.  In addition to honoring and interring numerous veterans and their eligible family members this ceremony also acknowledged the hard work done by Rick Valentine.  Valentines efforts of physically locating unclaimed remains, confirming their identities, and working with the US Department of Veterans Affairs to establish if the unclaimed individual had a military service record, was after all, the cornerstone of this event.  To learn more about Valentines work take a look at this article by Jonathan Glover, of The Spokesman-Review.
